I have never seen such an outpouring since LEGACY came on line. You can be proud - I certainly would be. Mike touched so many lives and I was lucky enough that he crossed my path too. Mike would want you to hang in there and "lighten up" because he's okay now.

Dear Joan, Bob and family,
We were so shocked and sad to hear about Mike. Life isn't supposed to happen this way and I remember him so well when he was little; the sleep-in-a-tent experiences, tree houses, cooky decorating parties at Xmas, birthday parties and the time they drilled the holes in the canned goods in the playroom while I assumed they were just playing "store". Great memories hopefully will help ease the pain. We all lost touch after we moved but would love to hear from you now that we're both in FL. Mike was such a cute little boy with that smattering of freckles and innocent eyes that would melt your heart, especially for cookies. There are no words to tell you how sorry we are.

I will cherish so many fond memories of you, my beautiful cousin. From riding on the back of your Honda 75 through woods next to Hilldale Place, to playing homerun derby in the front yard.There are so many more but the one I will cherish the most was this time last year...the last time I saw you, and the quality time we got to share. An amazing man with zest and love of life. A man who upon meeting someone for the first time would hug and kiss them as if knowing them for a lifetime. My deepest condolences to the Hebden family - Mike and I were great childhood friends - starting in elementary school - and although I haven't seen him since the mid-'80's I think of him every March 5th and wish him a silent Happy Birthday! Our mothers were in the hospital at the same time, but Mike arrived first and I arrived 3 days later. I'll think of Mike and his family this March 5th and offer a prayer for their comfort.

He was my only Uncle he was the best at that. I will always remember coming down for a few weeks and he took me out on his scooter then a jet ski. That week was one of the most fun I had in my life. I will always have our memoirs at heart, I love you forever.

I grew up on Hilldale RD and went to school with Michael since kindergarten (1966) at Little Folk Farm through graduation at AHS 1979. Needless to say, I have many fond memories that will only depart when it's my turn.
I was deeply saddened to hear of Mikes' untimely passing. I hadn't seen him since the 1980's and often wondered where, and how he was doing. What a shock to hear this sad & tragic news!
I can only hope that he is at peace and in a better place than here, and that one day, we will all be able to make sense of this situation.
May his family find the strength to make it through these difficult times, and be assured that we are all thinking about you and your loss at this difficult moment in time...

I'm so sorry to learn of Mike's passing. I came to know him through my relationship with Phil Ritchie. Mike spent lots of time with Phil and I, Mike had a such a great sense of humor and there was nothing he wouldn't do for you. My heart feels so heavy, Phil is gone and now Mike.
