Paul MacDonald Obituary

NORWOOD Paul L. MacDonald, 67, died peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Norwood following a declining period of health. He was born in Newton in September 1940, the son of the late Edmund S. and Catherine J. (McCormick) MacDonald. Paul was the beloved brother of Kathleen M. Wood of Wayland, Mary Sandstrom of Winchendon and Francis MacDonald of Franklin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edmund MacDonald, Henry MacDonald, John MacDonald, Eleanor Rossetti and Marjorie Newfell. Paul spent his formative years in Newton and attended the Newton public schools. He had a long and distinguished career as a truck driver with Lindstrom Trucking Co. of Newton. He enjoyed baseball and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He enjoyed being with his family and will be dearly missed and remembered by them fondly. Visitations will be held Monday, July 21, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road, (off Rte. 30), Wayland. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 22, at 9 a.m., followed by his funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Zepherins Church, Rte. 27, Wayland. Interment will follow in the MacDonald family lot in Calvary Cemetery in Waltham.
