Robert J. Manguso HOPEDALE Robert J. Manguso, 71, of Hopedale, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at his home. He was the husband of Ann (Pelosi) Manguso for 38 years. Mr. Manguso was employed for more than 30 years at the U.S. Army Labs in Natick, until his retirement in 1994. While there, he received special commendations for his work in the Standardization Branch, Tech. Services Division. He also worked for the Milford Police Dept. Robert was born in November 1936, in Milford, son of the late Salvatore J. and Katherine B. (Sarah) Manguso. He was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1955, and Suffolk University Law School in Boston, where he earned his criminal justice degree. Robert was active in baseball, basketball and football while in school. Mr. Manguso was a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by one step-daughter, Paula and her husband, Sal Molinari, of Worcester; one brother, Thomas Manguso of Milford; one sister, Marcia A. and her husband, Joseph Sweet, of Hopedale; two nephews, Joseph Sweet Jr. of Hopedale and Steven Sweet of Milford; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many cousins; and his lifelong friend William DAlessandro of Milford. He was a loving husband, brother and friend and will be missed by family and friends. A funeral service, with full military honors, will be held Monday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m., at the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home (www.bumafuneralhome.com), 42 Congress St., Milford, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10 a.m., at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St., Milford. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Medway Street (Rte. 109), Milford. Visiting hours are today, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
