Thomas A. Doherty

Thomas A. Doherty, age 90, of Natick and formerly of West Falmouth, MA passed away peacefully on September 16, 2017. He had been in Hospice care at the home of his daughter, Ann W. (Doherty) Grundberg of Natick. Mr. Doherty was the beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Ford) Doherty. He is survived by four children, John J. Doherty of Natick, MA, Ann W. Grundberg of Natick, MA, Thomas A. (Tad) Doherty of Rhode Island and Peter F. Doherty of McLean, VA. and 12 grandchildren. Mr. Doherty was born in Boston, MA to Gertrude and Thomas A. Doherty and brother to Louise White of Miami, FL. (deceased). Mr. Doherty graduated from Boston College 1953, after serving honorably in the United States Navy, Pacific Fleet, during WWII. Mr. Doherty achieved a successful career in the financial services industry having worked at the Boston offices of White Weld & Co. and Merrill Lynch for over 35 years. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 23 at 1:00P.M. in St. Linus Catholic Church, 119 Hartford St., Natick.Visting hours in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common are on Saturday morning beginning at 11:30 A.M prior to the Mass.
