COVINGTON - Charles Robert "Bob" Fosnight, age 93 of Covington, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Ohio Hospice of Miami County.
Bob was born in St. Marys on November 19, 1929 to the (late) Charles Haney & Dorothy Naomi (Minkner) Fosnight.
Bob was a graduate of Piqua High School, Class of 1948 and a U.S. Air Force veteran retiring with 20 years of service. He had worked as Production Manager for Stanley Automatic Door Opener, Covington.
Bob was a member of the Covington Presbyterian Church and had led many community youth groups; a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association; a member of the American Legion, AB Cole Post #80, Covington, where he was part of the veterans to raise the flag for the Covington home football games.
In the past, he was very active with the Boy Scouts; was a great handyman; enjoyed watching old T.V. shows like Andy Griffin, Lawrence Welk, Carol Burnett, and the Price Is Right, where he had been a game show contestant.
In addition, he was a world traveler, visiting places such as Germany, Spain, Albania, Thailand, Israel and Greece.
Preceded in death by his parents; son, Dale Fosnight; daughter, Dianna Yingst; and brother, James Fosnight.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Mary Joan (Pearson) Fosnight; four sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas & Carolyn Sue Fosnight of Piqua, Rev. Daniel & Sally Fosnight of El Mirage, AZ, David & Marilyn Fosnight of Troy, Don & Susan Fosnight of Liberty Township, OH; 16 grandchildren, Nikki Christensen, Joshua Fosnight, Jodi & Jan Windom, Eileen Fosnight & Adrián Ardao Rodriguez, Darren Fosnight, Franca Sicobo, Becky Reece, Mary & Erik Bensen, Chad & Jeanette Fosnight, Heather & Nate Mealy, Tyler & Corinne Fosnight, Alyssa Fosnight, Stephanie Yingst, Carly Yingst, Charles Yingst III & Malika Perry; 20 great-grandchildren, Brittany, Johnny, Kyndall, Carsyn, Weston, Walter, Landon, Mieso, Minjae, Paul, Charlotte, Augustine, Hanna, Emma, Charlie, Les, Jacob, Lucas, Logan, and Levi; three great-great-grandchildren, Henry, Bella and Natalie; sister, Carol Huelskamp of Tipp City; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25th at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Route 48, 2 miles north of Covington, OH with Rev. Daniel Fosnight officiating and with military honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25th at the Covington Presbyterian Church, 30 N. Pearl St., Covington, OH with Pastor Greg Kurtz officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Covington Presbyterian Church or your favorite charity. Condolences may be left for the family at www.stockerfraley.com.
