TROY - Donald Ott, age 86, of Troy, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday November 27, 2021, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born on December 10, 1934 in Honeycreek Township, WI to the late Arthur and Margaret (Lesch) Ott.
Donald (Gramps) is survived by children: Donald (Donesia) Ott of Kenosha, WI, Calvin Ott of Chicago, IL, Laurie (Craig) Englund of Shoreview, MN, Kelly Ott-Statzer of Miamisburg and Jeff (Lisa) Ott of Troy; sister: Carol Kutz of Kenosha, WI; eleven grandchildren: Andrei, Daniel, Rachel, Rebekah, Hannah, Nicholas, Katie, Ashley, Zachary, Matthew and Stacia: and seven great grandchildren: Bradleigh, Emery, Cohen, Everett, Emma, Kai and Kameron.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Shirley Ott on November 25, 2021; one sister: Loraine Hugg; one brother: Robert Ott; and one grandson: Joel Englund.
Donald was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy. He was employed with Woolworth-Woolco for 37 years. Donald was also a manager for Sam's Club for 4 years. He enjoyed playing chess and board games. Even more, he enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with lots of love.
Family will receive friends from 5-7PM on Thursday December 2, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy. Graveside services will be held at 11AM on Friday December 3, 2021 in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown. Condolences may be expressed the family at www.bairdfuneralhome.com.
