Ed was a 1954 graduate of Tippecanoe High School. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 thru 1957, achieving the rank of Sergeant before transferring to the Marine Corps Reserve. After briefly attending The Ohio State University, he completed an apprenticeship, embarking on a fifty-plus year career installing flooring, ultimately starting his own business. An avid fisherman, he often traveled with friends and family to Canada, Lake Erie and Tennessee in search of trophy walleye and crappie. He channeled his love for sports through his sons and grandchildren, faithfully attending their football, wrestling, cross-country, track and soccer competitions. Ed could often be seen taking long rides with his best friends in his red cargo van throughout Miami County and beyond and enjoyed visiting his friends at the Tipp City VFW.
