Glenna Babcock Obituary

GREENVILLE — Glenna A. Babcock, age 87, of Greenville, formerly of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.

She was born in Piqua on November 4, 1928 to the late William R. and Nellie Lucinda (Pittsenbarger) Deubner, Sr. Her husband, Wallace D. Babcock, Sr., preceded her in death on April 2, 2011.

Glenna is survived by one son: Wallace D. (Vicky) Babcock, Jr. of Greenville; two sisters: Lilly Mae Huber of Wapakoneta and Mary Lou (Burns) Wren of St. Marys; one brother Jacob R. (Thelma) Deubner of St. Paris; and good friends: Skip and Carolyn Remy and Barb Edmonson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother: William Raymond Deubner, Jr.

Glenna was a former member of Troy Baptist Temple in Troy. She was committed to Veteran's organizations and animal welfare.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Rev. David Thommason officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy. Friends may call from 10-11 AM on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Miami County Humane Society, 1190 N. Co. Rd. 25A, Troy, OH 45373.
