ST. PARIS — James A. Cole, 77, of St. Paris, passed away at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born January 18, 1943 in Piqua to the late Charles L. and Elizabeth (Tinnel) Cole.
He married Lucinda A. Smith June 2, 1963 in Piqua; and she survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Melissa (John) Beal, Mindi Cole all of Conover, Jennifer (Todd) Delong all of Cape Coral, Florida; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; and three brothers, Charles R. Cole, Christopher (Cathy) Cole of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, and John H. (Connie) Tinnel of Spring, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Cole.
Mr. Cole was a 1961 graduate of Piqua Central High School and attended Limestone College of Gaffney, South Carolina. He retired as a Manufacturing Manager from Emerson Electric of Sidney. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council #3344, Loyal Order of the Moose lodge #1533, and the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #523.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Andrew Hess as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
