Jerry Zeller Obituary
NEW CARLISLE - Jerry Lee Zeller, age 76, of New Carlisle, OH passed away at 8:50 p.m. on Friday March 10, 2023, at his residence.
He was born in Piqua, OH on December 22, 1946, to the late Charles W. and Shirley A. (Retterbush) Zeller. On September 29, 1986, in Jellico, TN, he married Brenda J. Strader. She preceded him in death June 30, 2005.
Jerry is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Tim (Michelle) Zeller, Urbana, OH; one brother: Mark Zeller, Troy, OH; one grandson: Evan Ritchie.
Jerry graduated from Piqua Central High School in 1965. He was an inspector at Hartzell Fan starting in 1965 and going until his retirement. Jerry proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War. He loved baseball and was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 on p.m. Saturday March 18, 2023, at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, OH with Pastor Scott Stremmel officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua, OH. Full Military Honors will be presented by The Veteran Elite Tribute Squad. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday March 18, 2023, at the funeral home.
