PIQUA -- Joyce Ann Catron, 89, of Piqua, passed away at 3:12 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Kettering Hospital of Piqua. She was born January 23, 1933 in Piqua to the late Charles V. and Esther (Freeman) Millhouse. She married David B. Catron May 8, 1966 in Piqua and he preceded her in death November 26, 2011.
Survivors include five nieces, Teresa (Eddie) Adams-Anderson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Rachelle (David) Campbell of Mt. Summit, Indiana, Marla (Mike) Rinberger of LaFayette, Louisiana, Julie Millhouse of Celina, Kathy (Scott) Black of Piqua; one nephew, Dan (Julie) Millhouse of Casstown; five great nieces and great nephews, Daimeon (Annette) Williams, Michael (Katy) Rinberger, Justinn Campbell, Mark (Ashley) Rinberger, and Star Campbell; three great great nephews, one great great niece; also many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, C. Gaynor (Marilyn) Millhouse.
Mrs. Catron was a graduate of Piqua High School and a lifelong member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church. Joyce had worked at the Piqua Glove Factory before retiring and then worked as a manager for Merle Norman Cosmetics. She was active with the church over the years in various events and committees. Joyce was an avid and award winning golfer, she and her husband David would travel south during the winter to play golf in Florida and all over the country. They also enjoyed attending professional golf tournaments like The Masters Tournament and others in their travels. Joyce enjoyed being a homemaker as well; she was a wonderful baker and loved to cook for her family and friends when they gathered.
A service to honor her life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2023 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2023 also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, 500 N. Downing St., Piqua, OH 45356.
