RIVERSIDE — Kevin L. Shade, 56, of Riverside, and formerly of Pleasant Hill, passed away Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at his home. He was born in Troy, on April 5, 1958, to Darlene (Darst) Shade and the late Joseph Darrell Shade.
He is survived by his children, Justin Shade, Samantha Shade and their mother, Sharon Shade; grandson, Connor Shade; mother, Darlene; brothers, Steve (Connie) Shade and Larry (Alice) Shade; significant other, JoAnn Shade and nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Kevin was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed playing with his dogs and his electric guitars in his spare time. Kevin played basketball at Newton High School in Pleasant Hill. He worked for over 37 years as a meat cutter at Kroger's, all around the Miami Valley area.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of the service. Condolences may be made to the family at www.newcomerdayton.com.
