PIQUA — MARY JANE COPPOCK, age 74, of Piqua, passed away Sunday June 24, 2018 at 3:16 P.M. at Miami Valley Hospital ICU Dayton, OH. She was born October 17, 1943 in Troy, OH to the late Harry & Mary (Epley) Banning. She married Robert Coppock February 11, 1961 in Fletcher, OH. He survives.
She is also survived by four children: Deborah & Tim Armstrong, Dayton, OH, Wanda & Bill Shoffner, Piqua, OH, Rhonda & Tim Ward, Piqua, OH, Robert & Jennifer Coppock III, Piqua, OH; five sisters & brothers-in-law: Rosemary Penny, Piqua, OH, Judy & Tom Russell, Piqua, OH, Helen & Gary Knisley, Fletcher, OH, Kathy & Keith Jessup, Piqua, OH, Becky Stahl & Glenn, Piqua, OH; two brothers & sisters-in-law: Richard & Della Banning, Piqua, OH, Tim & Sherry Banning, Piqua, OH; one half-brother: Rick (Bud) & Jenny Banning, Piqua, OH; four half-sisters: Pat Banning, KY, Teresa Green, GA, Sharon Banning, MS, Kim Banning, KY; fifteen grandchildren: Michelle, Janie, Amber, Chris, Ricky, Jimmy, Draven, Ashley, Shane, Crystal, Charlie, Lindsey, Alisha, Austin, Colton; great granddaughter: Tessa Arnett and twenty eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one half-brother.
Mary enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and scratching off lottery tickets. She also loved animals, shopping at Wal-Mart, Kroger and Meijer. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Mary was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held Friday June 29, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, Piqua with Rev. Gary Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday June 28, 2018 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be Thursday July 5, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua, OH.
