Robert Rudy Obituary

TROY - Robert Warner "Bob" Rudy, 92, of Troy, and Green Valley, Ariz., formerly of Covington, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 201, at Garbry Ridge in Piqua.
Bob was born Aug. 3, 1920, in Covington, to the late James Arthur and Reva Marie (Warner) Rudy.
He was a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1938 and a graduate of The Ohio State University in 1942. Bob served in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a past president and current chairman of the board of Rudy, Inc., an agri business serving the agricultural community for the past five generations, more than 100 years.
He was a lifelong member of the Covington Church of the Brethren where he was active, playing the organ, singing in the choir and serving on boards. He was also an associate member of the Presbyterian Church in Green Valley, Ariz. He was a past president of the Ohio Grain and Feed Association, served on the Covington School Board, the Covington Savings and Loan Board, the Buckeye State Mutual Insurance Board, the Elevator Mutual Insurance Board, and he was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Preceded in death by his parents; and his sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Robert Kiefer.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Bonnydell "Bonnie" (Weber) Rudy; two daughters, Patricia Jeanne and Dr. George LaNoue of Baltimore, Md. and Roberta Jane and Michael Levine of Danville, Calif.; two sons, Robert Weber and Sally W. Rudy of Troy, and James William and Jane H. Rudy of Troy; eight grandchildren and their spouses, George Jefferson LaNoue and Malindi Lankatilleke of Baltimore, Md., Robert James Revere LaNoue and Elisabeth James of Durham, N.C., Zachary Levine of Los Angeles, Calif., Sabrina Levine of Newport Beach, Calif., Robert Brian and Kelley Rudy of Troy, Jill Elizabeth and Judd Mendoza of Anaheim Hills, Calif., William Evan and Marena Rudy of Chicago, Ill., and Anna Weber Rudy of Chicago, Ill.; six great-grandchildren, Mavi Lankatilleke, Marcelle Marie LaNoue, Aiden Rudy, Bentley Rudy, Kylle Mendoza and Kasie Mendoza; and other relatives, and Ohio and Arizona friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Covington Church of the Brethren with Pastor Michael Yingst officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Covington.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ALS Association, the Covington Outreach Association, or the Covington Church of the Brethren.
