COVINGTON - Sharon L. Weer, 78, of Covington, passed away Thursday afternoon, September 25, 2025, at Ohio's Hospice Inpatient Center, Troy. She was born January 19, 1947, in Piqua, to the late Luther and Mary Ellen (Coon) Landis. She married Thomas W. Weer; he preceded her in death on March 6, 2017.
She will be missed and remembered by her children, Heather Boehringer of Covington and Nicholas (Brenda) Wintrow of Hoschton, Ga.; and a sister, Kathy (David) Nold of Highlands Ranch, Colo. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Johnny Boehringer.
Sharon was a 1966 graduate of Covington High School, and worked for WCR in both Dayton and Macon, Georgia. She retired to Florida, where she loved spending time on the beach. Sharon was a member of the Covington Eagles #3998 Auxiliary, serving as Madam President in 1995-96. She was also a member of the V.F.W. #4235 and enjoyed horseback riding, bowling, golfing and boating.
Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with Tom. A Celebration of her Life will follow at 1 p.m. at the Covington Eagles, 715 E. Broadway, Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to Covington Fire & Rescue or Ohio's Hospice. Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, and online condolences may be left for the family at moorefh.com.
