PIQUA - Wilbur LeRoy Preston, 89, of Piqua passed away at 8:33 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, at his residence. He was born on March 6, 1936, in Piqua to the late Willard "Sie" Clarence and Lillian Marie (Whalen) Preston. He married Dorothy J. Richardson March 1, 1975, who preceded him in death December 8, 2016.
Other survivors include daughter, Kimberley Woods; two sons, Larry Preston and Roy Preston; step-children, Nancy Creager, Coraliss Preston, Walter Gibbs, Doreen Black and Carlene Jackson; sister, Mary Walker Elliott, multiple step-children, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Wilbur was preceded in death by son, Craig Preston and brother, William Preston.
Wilbur retired from BF Goodrich working as a machine setup. He also worked for Hartzell Wood and Innland Homes. Wilbur enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He was a former member of the Piqua Baptist Church.
A service to honor his life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2025, at the funeral home.
