Gerald Booms Obituary
Gerald "Jerry" Booms, age 66 of Harbor Beach, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at Covenant Healthcare of Saginaw.
He was born on August 8, 1958 to Gerald Booms and the late Georgeann (Hessling) Booms. Jerry and Susan Morrison were united in marriage on October 28, 1978 in Parisville. She preceded him in death on October 1, 2003. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman, who was a member of the Grindstone Port Hope Sportsmens Club. He enjoyed going deer hunting, bear hunting and camping. He liked shooting pool, especially with his friends on his Verona 2 team. He especially loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his children: Jason (Jamie) Booms of Onaway, Derek (Becky) Booms of Harbor Beach, Jenny (Scott) DeBoer of Bad Axe, his father: Gerald Booms of Ubly, 7 grandchildren: Caleb, Jack, Warren, Lily, Vincent, Lucas and Jeremiah, siblings: Deb (Ernie) Essenmacher of Minden City, Karen (Ron) Guza of Harbor Beach, Barb Bensinger of Ubly, Don (Lisa) Booms of Ames, Iowa, Joe (Nancy) Booms of Ubly, Randy (Lisa) Booms of Brown City, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgeann Booms, wife Susan Booms, and grandchild Mason Booms.
Funeral Services for Jerry will be Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11 am, at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach,with Fr. Kevin Wojciechowski officiating. Burial will follow at OLLH Church Cemetery. Visitation for Jerry will be on Tuesday, from 4-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Wednesday will begin at 10 am until time of services at 11 am.
