Goldie Robinson Obituary

Goldie A. Robinson
Goldie Ann Robinson was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on January 15, 1940, and was one of John and Anna Gage's seven children. She lived in the amazing city of Bad Axe her entire life. Goldie and Orin Robinson were married on April 25, 1961, the best day of their lives.
Goldie was small in stature, but she had a spitfire spirit like no other. She was never afraid to share her opinion about things (including politics and current events) while using language that some may deem a bit inappropriate at times, but that's part of what made her who she was. She also had an amazing work ethic and was always busy doing something – painting, staining the cupboards, mowing the lawn, cleaning out the garage, feeding the birds, you name it. Goldie and Orin went on several bus trips to various casinos in and around Michigan. It was always so nice when they won…she couldn't wait to tell you about it. She was a very giving person particularly to those close to her who were in need. Even though Goldie lived by a very strict budget, she always made room for those around her and Orin who needed some help. By the way, there wasn't a crossword puzzle she couldn't solve.
She valued her family above everything else. She was never shy to talk about her children and grandchildren. We sure hope she only shared good stories about us because the bad ones might still get us in trouble. She and Orin were married for 60 years, and she was the best wife and Mom in the world. She would wake up before sunset to have coffee with Orin, take the kids to school, work all day and pick them from their practices. She never missed one of their football games, wrestling matches, track meets or baseball games. We always knew she would be there when we looked up in the stands.
Goldie will always be loved and a hole will forever be in our hearts. If there was ever a person who we know will be in heaven, it will be her. We love you Mom.
Goldie graduated from Bad Axe High School and will always be a Bad Axe Hatchet fan. Oh, and let us not forget about her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers. She worked at American Discount and then at Karen and Katie's Hallmark until her retirement. Many people grew to know Goldie during her time at Hallmark.
Goldie is survived by her husband, Orin; their 4 children, Bruce, Mark (Sue), Kami (Hank) and Bob (Tracy); five Grandchildren – Zack (Leah), Jake and Kyle Robinson; Rande Mausolf (Mike) and Mike Errer (Rachel); and her sister Linda Fladzinski (John). She was preceded in death by her brothers Chet, Bob and Ted and her sisters Nellie and Helen.
Memorials may be offered to the family or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Private services were held at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe.

Seeing Goldie in the Hallmark store always brightened my day. Always loved chatting about the latest news with her - and talking sports. Her light sure was bright.

My deepest condolences to her family and all who loved her.
