Richard Mazure Obituary

Mazure, Richard Anthony - of Grand Blanc, died at home surrounded by his loving family on September 14, 2025, at the age of 80, after a lengthy battle with heart and lung disease.
Richard was born to John and Emma (Maurer) Mazure on November 30, 1944 and grew up on a farm in Huron County. Following graduation from Ubly High School, Richard joined the Army and was stationed in Vietnam. Richard married his sweetheart Alicia Tenbusch on April 22, 1967, and they have enjoyed 58 years of wedded bliss. They were blessed with three children: Kevin Mazure (the late Janelle Colby Mazure) of Clarkston, Paul Mazure of Ubly, and Becky (Gregory) Goodheart of Grand Blanc.
Richard and Alicia were blessed with six grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Colby, Carter, and Claire Mazure and Rachel, David, and Joshua Goodheart-all of whom survive him. Richard loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed the hours and hours of card playing that always took place.
Richard and Alicia owned and operated Ubly Auto Supply for 33 years before retiring to Grand Blanc. They wintered in Florida for 20+ years and were avid travelers around the world. Among his hobbies were playing cards, corn hole, horse shoes, golf, watching baseball and football, and visiting with family and friends. Richard was a lifelong Catholic, and he looked forward to meeting Jesus face-to-face at his death.
Also surviving Richard are his siblings: Edward and Betty Mazure, Eugene (Yogi) and Elaine Mazure, Robert and Phyllis Mazure, Fred and Mary Ann Mazure, Patricia (Mazure) and Ray Geiger, and Joyce Mazure Shetler. Richard is also survived by his in-laws: Joe Tenbusch, Diane and Frank Godi, Jim and Gretchen Tenbusch, Peggy Randall, and Sally and Chuck Bellsky. Richard is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Janelle; his parents, brothers Johnny and Donny Mazure; in laws Albert and Ann Tenbusch, Arthur and Judy and Michael Matuszewski, and Harold Randall.
