He is survived by Theresa B. Verner, his beloved wife of 19 years and was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Elizabeth. Ted is the loving father of four children, Delphine Jarred, Jim and Marge Verner, Fred and Norma Verner, and Marilyn and Richard DiLaura; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Ted was an avid golfer active into his 90s. Born in Poland, Ted came to the USA at age 3. He owned and operated a shoe businesses in Royal Oak and Detroit and owned the Sun and Sand Motel in Port Austin.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Nov. 17, 2007 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Port Austin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be conducted from 3 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde. A Vigil will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
