Anthony Colavito Obituary
Anthony L. Colavito, 79 of Middletown, beloved husband of Silvia (Strazinskis) Colavito, died Monday, September 18, 2017 at Middlesex Hospital. He was born in Middletown, son of the late, Salvatore and Josephine (Mastergeorge) Colavito. Prior to his retirement, Tony worked for the Department of Transportation for the State of CT. He also served as a member of the Auxiliary Police Department for the City of Middletown. Tony is survived by his wife Silvia as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Salvatore, Louis and Patrick Colavito and sister, Marie Sergi.
Funeral services will be held on Friday (Sept. 22nd) at 9:15 a.m. at from the Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, Middletown. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Weiss Hospice Unit, c/o Dept. of Philanthropy, 28 Crescent St., Middletown, CT 06457. I will miss my Uncle Tonys sense of humor. Whenever he came to an event there would sure to be a lot of laughing! RIP Uncle Tony your family is waiting at the gate for you.
