Arlene Nichols Obituary
Arlene Frances Nichols, 81, of Barkhamsted, CT, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at her home. She was born in New London, daughter of the late William and Pauline (Golembewski) Nichols. Prior to her retirement, Arlene was employed at the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation as a receptionist. She was dedicated to her state and country and would often express how blessed she was to live here. She was a devout catholic, who was dedicated to supporting many Catholic Missions. She will be dearly missed by her family, who loved her deeply. Arlene is survived by her sons, Thomas Rascati and his wife Kim of Barkhamsted, Michael Rascati and his wife Debbie of Portland, brother, Robert Allen Nichols of West Hartford, four grandchildren, Michelle Lynn Rascati, Michael F. Rascati, Jr., Anthony Rascati and Domenic Rascati, three great-grandchildren, Wesley, Skyla and Kamryn, and a sister-in-law, RoseMarie. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Nichols. Her Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, November 12th, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 10 Elm Street, Middletown. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Hi Tom and Kim it is Cindy Lombardi Arlene`s roommate from Meadowbrook of Granby. I tried desperately to get in touch with Arlene when I first got home to no avail. Then I fell down 14 stairs and broke 11 ribs I just got home from Saint Francis after fiveWeeks. Forget about me I am beyond devastated about my dear dear friend Arlene. I had no idea she had passed.
