Calvin Harvey Obituary
Calvin C. Harvey, age 78, of Middletown, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. Born and raised in Middletown, the son of the late Willie "Bill" and Florence (Maloney) Harvey. Calvin was a lifelong dairy farmer who worked alongside his father and brothers on the family farm. He took great pride in caring for the land and especially enjoyed growing corn and vegetables for the family's vegetable stand. His dedication to farming and his strong work ethic were admired by all who knew him. Calvin is survived by his son, Todd Harvey, and son-in-law, Daniel Gamache; his brother, Glen (Denise) Harvey; and sister-in-law, Joan Harvey. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calvin was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn, and his brother, Jeffery Harvey. Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Biega's Funeral Home, in Middletown, with a service following the calling hours at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the South Fire District, 445 Randolph Road, Middletown, CT 06457. My very deepest sympathy to Calvin's family. Our family also grew up with the Harvey family and Daniel's Farm on Millbrook Rd. It seemed to be a daily occurrence to see that tractor going up and down Millbrook Rd. Being young and impressionable at the time, I made certain that I was always outside whenever that tractor came by the house. It never failed to draw a big grin and a wave from Calvin! Lol!
The entire family were/are wonderful people. Corn fields will never be the same.
