David A. Lehet
David Alan Lehet, 39, of Durham, passed away on July 26, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
David was born on April 8, 1982 in Middletown, CT and was the beloved son of Gina Puglisi and the late Alan Lehet.
Its been said by many that when David was formed, they broke the mold. In his time on this planet David touched the lives of a large lot of people. He was always ready to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, whether stranger, friend or family, and would do so with gusto. David had many incredible talents. He was an artist who worked with a wide array of materials, a craftsman who put his hands to good use, an outdoorsman who loved fishing, camping, and being in nature, and he was especially talented at making people laugh.
Dave loved his family, his friends, and his dogs. He was a hard worker for his entire life who could always be counted on to give one hundred percent of himself. Of everything he brought to this world, he will be missed most for his presence and his ability to make us smile, and to bring what was really important into perspective. It is with heavy hearts that we say good bye for now, and see you soon to our beloved son, brother, and friend. To quote one of David's favorite thinkers, "I'll try to be around and about. But if I'm not, then you know that I'm behind your eyelids, and I'll meet you there."
David is survived by his devoted mother Gina Puglisi, stepfather Dana Ferrer, siblings Matthew Lehet, Cara Carta, Nathan Ferrer, Aaron Lehet, Adam Cartwright and Alex Cartwright and many family members who loved him dearly. He was preceded by his father Alan Lehet, grandparents Daniel and Phyllis Lehet, uncle Robert Lehet, and aunt Danielle Lehet.
All are welcome to attend a celebration of David's life, to be held on Saturday, August 14th, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Middlefield Federated Church, 402 Main St., Middlefield, CT.
