RIVERA, EVELYN Family and friends mourn the loss of Evelyn Rivera, 54, of Middletown, who passed away the evening of June 30th after a tragic accident. She spent her final moments in the care of Hartford Hospital, surrounded by family. Evelyn was a proud mother of two sons, Jose Junior Pacheco of Cromwell and Frank Angel Correa of Middletown. She measured her own success by the success of her boys, and spent time in la sala cleaning their martial arts trophies each day. Often found dancing salsa and merengue, she lived her life to the fullest. Her favorite activities were cooking, listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with family. She was a free-spirited woman whose greatest gifts were her direct manner, her infectious smile, and her outpouring of unconditional love. These gifts will be remembered fondly by her family; in addition to her sons, Evelyn is survived by her mother, Eva Vega, of Middletown, her brothers Juan and Alex Rivera, both of West Chester, Pennsylvania, her sisters, Lissette Rivera of Middletown, Annette Rivera of Portland, and Melissa and Lynn Rivera, both of West Chester, Pennsylvania, and her granddaughter, Kylie Pacheco, of Cromwell. Evelyn was predeceased by her father, Juan Febus Rivera, and her brother, Juan Junior Rivera. Funeral services will be private and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
