September 30, 2025
Florence Misenti Giuliano, 96, of Middletown, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, at Yale New Haven Hospital on September 30, 2025. She was born in Middletown, on September 1, 1929, to Eduardo and Mary (Liistro) Misenti. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas J. Giuliano, sisters, Esther (Mrs. Joseph S.) Monarca, Eleanor (Mrs. Joseph) Rafala, Constance (Mrs. L. Edgar) Hoyle and Margaret (Mrs. Leslie P.) Adams. She leaves her son, former Mayor Sebastian N. Giuliano and daughter-in-law, Paula, grandsons, Nicholas Edward Giuliano and his wife, Jessica, of Rocky Hill, Paul Sebastian Giuliano and his wife, Jayme, of Wallingford, granddaughter, Francesca Maria Giuliano of Middletown, great-grandchildren, Leo, Sebastian, Zachary, Marco and Stella, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Florence was a 1948 graduate of Middletown High School. She held many jobs over the years, including accounting office work and jewelry sales. She was a parishioner of St Sebastian Church and a member and past president of their Saint Theresa Guild. Florence was also a member of the Holy Apostles Seminary Ladies Guild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on October 7, 2025, at 11am at Saint Sebastian Church in Middletown. Burial to follow at Saint Sebastian Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 4-7pm at D'Angelo Funeral home, 22 South Main St., Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Saint Sebastian Church Renovation Fund, 155 Washington St., Middletown, CT 06457.
