Geraldine Marie Kukta, 91, of Clinton, CT joined her husband Walter P, Kukta Sr on May 23 2024. She will be greatly missed by her five children, Laura (Leroy) Edwards of Clinton, Walter (Nadine) P Kukta Jr of Old Saybrook, Doris (James) Hughes Jr of Haddam, Ronald (Constance) Kukta of Moodus and Gayle (Robert) Becker of Derby, VT. Also missing their " Nana" are nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister Patricia Parker of Wallingford and sister in-law Mary Kukta of Port Saint Lucie, FL. She is preceded by her brother Carl Clark Jr, sisters Audrey Crosby, Barbara Vincelette and Viola Clark.
She was born in New Haven on August 19 1932 to Carl and Viola Clark Sr of Foxon. She attended Boardman Trade School for dressmaking. On Flag Day June 14 1951 Gerry married the love of her life Walter P. Kukta Sr. She was a house mother at Grove School and retired from Lee Company, Gerry was a member of Killingworth Congregational Church where she joined the choir, Wednesday eves woman's group and ushered at Sunday services. She enjoyed music, playing her organ, sewing, knitting and cooking every weekend for the gang. Gerry, Walter and Corky their Yorkie traveled in their RV, twice to Alaska and spending summers on the beach in Rhode Island.
Nana was a friend and caretaker to all. There was always room at the table and even a bed if needed. She was kind to friends and strangers alike. always grateful for the love and kindness shown to her. She spent her last phase of life at Gladeview in Old Saybrook. She is now with her one and only sweetheart dancing a polka in heaven. Her memories faded, ours will not. God bless her. A grave side service will be held at the Connecticut Veterans Cemetary in Middletown on June 14 at 100 p.m.

Gerry and I met when we were in our early teens. We used to go to a local dance hall where we met our future husbands. She was a very loving wife, mother & friend. Sincere condolences to the family. All the wonderful memories of her will be with us forever . Mary
