It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Sue Faraci who departed this life on January 17, 2025 at the age of 74. Born on April 2, 1950 in Carnegie, OK she was the cherished daughter of Maxine (Strader) Fink and Melvin Backes.
Karen was a devoted wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother, and a dear friend to many. She was known for her kindness and her unwavering dedication to her family.
She touched the lives of everyone she met and spent her days lovingly caring for her family. Her passions included traveling with her husband, her children and her grandchildren. She was a loving foster parent to the many children who entered her home through the years. Her presence brought light and love to every room she entered.
She is survived by her husband Richard of 58 years, her daughter Lisa (Paul) Dente, her son Richard (Loretta) Faraci, daughter Elizabeth (Jason) Frederick, Becky (Chris) Galvez, and daughter Lola Jayne. Grandchildren Anthony Faraci, Gillian (Anderson) Faustino, Nick Faraci, Paige, Aubrey and Claire Frederick, Dylan Galvez, and Jazmyn, Denzel, Seven, and Lola Jayne. One great grandchild, Lorenzo Faustino. Her sister Nita Backes of Colorado. Her uncle Dwayne (Barbara) Strader of East Hartford, CT, her Aunt Flo (Dick) Davis of Oklahoma. Nephews Ron (Cecilia) Faraci, Adam (Sherry) Legg, Brian (Carin) Faraci, and Scott Faraci, and Niece Barbara Faraci. She is predeceased by her mother Edna Maxine Fink, her father Melvin Backes, her stepfather Sy Fink, and her brother Dayton Backes, Aunts Barbara Strader, Doris Greenhaw and Margie MacDonald, and Uncle Dick Davis.
A service to celebrate Karen's life will be held at a time convenient to the family.
Her love, wisdom, and strength will remain with us always. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
