Collette K. Reidy

Collette K. Reidy (néeTheisen), 77, of Miromar Lakes, Florida died on Friday, March 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Born on August 26, 1948, in Monroe, Michigan, she grew up in Carleton, Michigan as the daughter of the late Clarence W. Theisen and Jeannie B. Theisen. After raising her 3 children in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Collette and her husband retired to Southwest Florida in 2010.

Collette was a dedicated middle school teacher in Troy, Michigan, where she touched the lives of countless students with her patience, enthusiasm, and commitment to education. She found great joy in nurturing young minds and fostering a love of learning.

A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Collette drew strength from her spiritual life and lived with grace and kindness. She fiercely cherished every moment spent with her family, creating lasting memories filled with love, laughter, and togetherness.

Collette enjoyed an active lifestyle. She loved playing tennis and pickleball, taking long walks, and bike riding, as well as the simple pleasure of shopping. These pursuits reflected her vibrant spirit and zest for life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence W. Theisen and her mother, Jeanie B. Theisen. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Patrick J. Reidy; her three beloved children Patrick Reidy (May), Erika Blake (Chris), Emily Clements (Kevin); her siblings Diane Queen (Jon), Kevin Theisen (Diane), Norbert Theisen (Kathy); many nieces and nephews; and her ten cherished grandchildren - Max, Noah, Madeline, Patrick, Avery, Logan, Cameron, Liam, Lily and Audrey - who were the absolute light of her life. Collette's love for her grandchildren was profound and unwavering; she took immense pride in each of them and treasured every moment.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, 19680 Cypress View Drive. A reception for family and friends will follow at a location still be determined.
