Michael Picozzi Jr.

Michael Picozzi, Jr., 88, of Naples, Florida, went home to the Lord, peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

Born on April 17, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, Michael was the son of the late Michael and Genevieve (née Martin) Picozzi, Sr. Predeceased by his loving sister Mary Ann, and brother-in-law, Joseph. He spent his early years in Brooklyn before relocating to Naples 24 years ago, where he made his home and played his favorite activity, tennis, and formed many cherished friendships.

After attending college, Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. Following his military service, he returned to New York and began a distinguished career as a court reporter for the State of New York. Through dedication and professionalism, he advanced to serve as a federal court reporter, a role in which he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and members of the judiciary alike.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Ward-Picozzi, his two loving daughters, Laura Picozzi, and Janice Spiezio, son-in-law, Kim, and son, Michael Picozzi, III. He is also survived by six grandchildren, including Julia Ravenna and Nicholas Spiezio. one great-grandchild and Michael's stepchildren, Nicole Cuccinello, husband, Robert, Michael Ward, Andrea Ward. Step-grandchildren, Carmine Cuccinello and Anthony Cuccinello, and Madison Ward.

Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 4th at 2 pm at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 28300 Beaumont Road, Bonita Springs, FL.

Additional services at a later date with military honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.
