Judith "Judy" Carey Bogusz, 82, of
Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, surrounded by love.
Born on June 6, 1943, in
Camden, New Jersey, Judy was the beloved daughter of the late Walter Carey Sr. and Ruth Baker Carey. She carried her South Jersey roots with pride throughout her life, never losing her unmistakable spirit, strength, and deep devotion to family.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her cherished grandson, Adon Walker, whom she loved beyond measure.
She is survived by her loving children, Dona Purnell and Donald Bogusz, who were the center of her world. Judy's greatest joy was being "Mom," and she poured her heart into her family every single day. Her love was fierce, loyal, and unwavering.
Judy built a life defined by hard work, independence, and connection. She enjoyed a career in hairdressing, where her chair was more than a place for styling - it was a place of laughter, stories, and friendship. Her natural gift for people later carried into business management at Bogey's Rock n Roll and the Brooklawn Diner, where her warmth and steady leadership left a lasting impression on colleagues and patrons alike.
She had a vibrant personality and a zest for life. Judy was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles, cheering passionately through every season. Game days were serious business in her world. She also loved the thrill of the casino - not just for the games, but for the excitement, the lights, and the simple joy of being out and about.
Judy will be remembered for her quick wit, her resilience, and her generous heart. She had a way of making people feel seen and welcomed. Her laughter could fill a room, and her strength carried her family through life's many seasons.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that love does not end. It lives on in memories, in stories shared around the table, and in the traditions she passed down. Judy's legacy is one of love, loyalty, and living life fully.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
