Kurt Lemmer Obituary
October 9, 1957 ~ August 2, 2025
Kurt J. Lemmer, 67, of Middletown, loving husband of Mary Therese (Smedley) Lemmer, passed away unexpectedly August 2, 2025 at his home.
Kurt worked in construction for many years. He was a champion skier, avid golfer and won several tournaments, along with being a ballroom dancer and instructor. He also owned and trained racehorses with many wins. He loved the Vermont house where he and Mary entertained friends and family.
In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his sister, Susan Lemmer; his brothers, Karl Lemmer, John Lemmer and his wife, Lisa, and his brother-in-law, Robert Smedley and his wife, Monica; his sister-in-law, Rosemary Melillo; many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Diane White and Joyce Plante.
Kurt's family will receive relatives and friends at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. His funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
