Lucille Ballachino Obituary

Lucille Ballachino, 74, wife of the Late Joseph Ballachino, of Rook Road, Cromwell, formerly of Middletown, passed away Friday at the Hospital of St. Raphael's, New Haven.
She was born June 20, 1937, in Middletown, daughter of the Late Sebastian and Rose (Guarino) Formica. She was a member of St. John Church, Cromwell, and Eucharistic Minister. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Zygo Inc. of Middlefield.
She is survived by two daughters, JoAnn Sica and her husband Joseph of North Haven and Lori Bartoes and her husband Richard of North Granby; a sister, Geraldine and her husband Chester Kulas of Cromwell; her grandchildren, James, Joseph Thomas and Samuel Bartoes and Michael and Brian Sica.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. John Church, Cromwell Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Middletown. Relatives and friends may call at St. John Church Tuesday from 10:30 until the time of the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Drive, Memphis, TN 38105. D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main St., Middletown, is entrusted with the arrangements.

Lucille was a wonderful women! She was so sweet, kind and loving. My family loved her like she was apart of our family too. Will always have memories of her especially when watching my wedding video. She said the prayer for our special day. Spread your wings Lucille love you

Lucille was my godmother. She was always a positive influence to me as a youth. I will always have fond memories of her. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences to JoAnn and Lori and family.
