ELDRIDGE, RALPH Ralph Eldridge, 67, of Middletown Beloved husband of Cathy (Gardell) Eldridge passed away Tuesday December 20, 2016 at his home with family and friends at his side.Ralph was born in Middletown, the son of the late Lovellow and Marion (Whalen) Eldridge. Prior to his retirement Ralph was employed as a machinist with Standard Knapp for 35 years and later with Connecticut Valley Hospital. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Middletown, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed, fishing, drinking beer, Leroux blackberry brandy and the Connecticut Lotto “You can’t win if you don’t play.” Besides his wife Cathy, “The love of his life”, Ralph is survived by two daughters, Amy Williams who would always bring a smile to his face, and her husband Javier “Road-dog” Ortiz of New Britain, Michelle Kingsley of Hebron, two sons, James Eldridge of Nevada, Daniel Eldridge of Hebron, four grandchildren, Gabby Williams his Pride and Joy, Noah Kingsley, Ethan Kingsley, Brice Kingsley, four brothers, Richard Eldridge of Middletown, Robert Eldridge of Cromwell, Gerald ``Buster’’ Eldridge of Newington; two sisters, Patricia Doucette of Florida, and Judith Magnano of Moodus, several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his sister Marilyn Eldridge Drenzek and brother, David Eldridge. A funeral service will be held Wednesday December 28, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown.
