Robert Hills Obituary
Robert W. Hills, 29, of Middletown, died Saturday, November 6, 2021 with his family by his side at Middlesex Hospital. He was born in Middletown, son of Andrea "Andi" (Twombly) Hills of Middletown and the late Edward "Cowboy" Hills, III. Robert was most recently employed with KC Lawn Care in Portland. As a young man, Robert enjoyed showing dogs, horses and beef cattle in 4H and made many relationships that lasted into his adult life. He also loved pulling horses with his twin brother, Ronald, under Ed Hills & Sons at fairs across New England during the fair season. He enjoyed driving the horses or helping other teamsters as an evener tender. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his twin brother, Ronald (Devon) of East Hampton, CT and his brother Joseph Hills of Middletown, CT as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family. He will be greatly missed by many, especially his beloved dog, Bo Jangles and a special 'partner in crime', Teagan Hills. Robert will be remembered for his quick wit, fun loving pranks and charismatic personality. He had a wink, grin and dimples that got him out of hot water many times. Calling hours will be held Friday November 19, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown with a funeral service following at 7 p.m. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to Middlesex-New Haven County 4H. Andi, Ron, Devon, Teagan and Joe, words can’t express how heartbreaking this loss is. I am so thankful that I got to see him at the Haddam Neck Fair. I got to see his wonderful smile and those dimples - so much like Cowboy. I know he’s with his Dad and Grampa now, but it’s still much too soon. We love you all!
