REV. ROSA TYLER

TYLER, REV. ROSA LEE (FREEMAN) Rev. Rosa Lee (Freeman) Tyler, 77, of Middletown, beloved wife of Charlie E. Tyler for forty-nine years, passed away on Saturday, November 15th at Water’s Edge Center. Born in Windsor, NC, she was the daughter of the late George and Rosebud (Drake) Freeman. Rev. Tyler was an associate minister who was very devoted to her church, Open Door Missionary Baptist Church. She had lived in Middletown since 1965, sold Avon and worked at Raymond Engineering, both for over forty years, and volunteered at the Salvation Army. In addition to her husband, Rev. Tyler is survived by three sons, Rick Freeman (Linda), Willie Freeman and Charlie E. Tyler, Jr. (Theresa), their daughters, Shanae and Shayla and their grandson, Treyshad, all of Middletown; three brothers, Joseph Freeman of Powellsville, NC, Johnny Freeman of Ahoskie, NC and Clarence Freeman of New York, NY; two sisters, Anna Freeman and Mary Jean Freeman, both of Powellsville, NC; aunt, Mary Boone of New York, NY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 22nd at 10:00 am at Open Door Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack Elder officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
