FARACI, THEODORE FIORE Theodore Fiore Faraci, 87, of Cromwell, husband of the late Alberta (Harrigan) Faraci for fifty years, peacefully passed away on May 10, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 11, 1927 in Middletown where he was raised as one of fourteen children born to the late Luigi and Amelia (Romano) Faraci. An entrepreneur, Ted opened Ted’s Tire and Service in Portland in 1957 and sold it in 1987. In 1977, he and his wife were co-founders of Alberta Manor in Hartford and also Gilmore Manor in Glastonbury. Together Ted and Alberta traveled the world enjoying numerous luxury cruises and spending their time at their home in Naples, FL. Ted remained an active, busy man until his brief illness. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Gary and Kathlyn Faraci of Middletown, Ted Faraci and Cathy Foley of Glastonbury, Kitty and Steve Richheimer of Cromwell and Patti and Joe Santavenere of Cromwell; six grandchildren, Sam Faraci and his wife, Cassandra, Steve and Julie Richheimer and Alicia Santavenere and her fiancé, Daniel Luongo, Derek Santavenere and Joe Santavenere and his wife, Lauren; two great grandchildren, Vincent and Andriana Faraci and five siblings, Ed Faraci, Bill Faraci, Evelyn Epright, Dolores Wilson and Carmie Bower. Along with his parents and wife, Ted was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. The Faraci family would like to say a special thank you to caregivers, Talca Letcher and Donna Wyman and Middlesex Home Hospice Care who provided comfort and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 14th at 10:00 am at Bethany Lutheran Church, 50 Court Street, Cromwell. Interment will follow in Cromwell Hillside Cemetery East. Family and friends may call on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell.
