THEODORE S. "TED" MILARDO

1933 - 2016

MILARDO, THEODORE “TED” S. Theodore ‘Ted’ S. Milardo, 83, of Melbourne, FL, beloved husband of 54 years to Josephine (Garofalo) Milardo died in Florida on Saturday. Born on April 13, 1933 in Middletown, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Sebastiana (Airo) Milardo. Ted lived in Portland for 32 years before moving to Melbourne, FL 16 years ago. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army and retired from Wesleyan University as a carpenter. Ted was a member of St. Sebastian Church and the BPOE Elks #771. Ted and Josephine did everything together and for each other and she was his best friend. He loved spending time and being with his family, always putting his family first. As a carpenter he was a perfectionist working on projects, he enjoyed being outside, and he also loved cars. Besides his loving wife he is survived by his beloved family, a son Theodore and daughter in law Elizabeth Milardo of Higganum; two daughters, Michelle Milardo Frank and son in law Richard Frank of Kensington, Tracy Milardo Walsh of Melborne, FL; a sister, Concentina Milardo Gaffney of Westbrook, seven grandchildren, Jena Milardo, Ryan Walsh, Christopher Milardo, Daniel Milardo, Matthew Walsh, Richard Frank, and Gianni Frank; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Carmelo, Frances, and Carmelo. The funeral will be held on Friday at 9 am from the Coughlin-Lastrina Funeral Home, 491 High Street, Middletown, followed by a mass of Christian burial in St. Sebastian Church at 10 am. Burial will be in the family plot in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
