ANDREW ALAN SUMMERSETT Andrew Alan Summersett, 58, of Alvarado, Texas, passed away on August 14, 2025. He was born on February 28, 1967, in St. Louis, Missouri, and grew up in Midlothian, Texas. Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Summersett. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Summersett, with whom he found the love of his life; his children, Adrian Summersett, Eric Summersett, Brandi Flores and husband Chuy, and Destiny Sosa and husband Pete; his grandchildren, Maddie, Jordyn, Gabriel, and Lily; his mother, Linda Summersett; his brother, Mark Summersett and wife Loree; and his sister, Tacy Summersett and wife Kim Terry. Andrew's life was filled with love, dedication, and devotion to his family. Finding Donna was one of his life's greatest blessings, and together they shared countless adventures. They embraced life's simple and grand pleasures exploring new places, savoring delicious food, enjoying music, visiting wineries and breweries, setting sail on cruises, and relaxing on the beaches of Galveston Island. Time spent there, with the sound of the waves, the feel of the sand, and the ocean breeze, brought them both peace and happiness. Andrew was also an excellent cook, and he and Donna loved to entertain, bringing family and friends together over good food, laughter, and shared memories. Andrew was a proud grandfather who adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. His warmth, loyalty, and the way he made those around him feel valued and loved will be deeply missed. His adventurous spirit, zest for life, and love for the people, places, and experiences that mattered most will continue to inspire all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Midlothian Funeral Home, 200 E Ave E, Midlothian, Texas. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the same location.
