Dalyne "Sam" Hartson

DALYNE HARTSON Dalyne "Sam" Hartson passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, at her home in Midlothian, Texas, surrounded by her family. Dalyne was born February 25, 1940, in Dallas, Texas, to Nedra and George Reeves. Dalyne was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love, generosity, and humor touched countless lives. Dalyne grew up in the Lakewood area of Dallas and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1957. She went on to become a legal secretary, paralegal, and office manager for the law offices of Robert Hartson. Her passions included serving as president of the Dallas Historic Preservation League, president of the Dallas Association of Legal Secretaries, and serving on the Mountain Peak Water Board. She was always present at her children's sporting events and was their biggest fan. Dalyne was a sports enthusiast and loved watching college football and her beloved Texas Rangers. Dalyne was known for her beautiful smile and sage advice. Dalyne is survived by her brother Don Reeves and wife Debbie, her daughter Cameron (Pam), her sons and their wives Bill, Glenn (Brenda), Jud, and Hud (Trudy). Grandchildren Lauren (Jon), Cameron (Ryan), Maegan (Jimmy), Wade, Hugh, Triston, Trent (Airial), and Taylor. Great-grandchildren Chloe, Harrison, Sylas, Noah, Charlotte, Mason, Genesis, and Kayliegh. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Wade Hartson, mother Nedra (Tarrant) Reeves, father George Daly Reeves, and brother Fred Reeves. A celebration of Dalyne's life was held at Grove Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Samaritan's Purse. Dalyne's family would like to thank Custom Care Hospice and their staff for their loving care, and Nellafay Isom for her love and support throughout mom's illness.
