Lynda Bowling Obituary

LYNDA ANN BOWLING Lynda Ann Bowling passed into heaven peacefully on January 9, 2025. Born to Jack Pete and Lola Marie Gathings Washburn on February 27, 1946, in Young County TX, Lynda was full of generosity and love for all who were blessed to know her. From her birthplace in Ellisville, TX to her home in Midlothian, TX, Lynda's presence was a gift, and her love a testament of her faith. Lynda's life was marked by a loving dedication to her work, her faith, and above all, her family. She found great joy in her career as an Administrative Assistant with Gorman Company in Cedar Hill, TX, from where she retired in 2014. A woman of strong Christian faith, Lynda was actively involved with her Sunday school group at Ovilla Road Baptist Church, her faith guiding her through life's journey. Lynda was a woman of simple pleasures; her heart beat in rhythm with the cast of a fishing line, her spirit finding solace in the quiet corners of a good book. But it was in the company of her family and friends that Lynda's generous and loving nature truly flourished. Lynda's love continues to thrive in her daughter, Shannon Angelo, and son-in-law, Nicholas Angelo, her son, Chad Bowling, and her cherished grandchildren, Levi Hardy and Destiny Davis. She joins her beloved husband, Edward Bowling, and her parents, Jack and Lola Washburn, in peaceful rest. As we mourn the loss of our dear Lynda, we rejoice in the knowledge that her spirit remains among us, her love ever-present in the memories we shared. We encourage everyone who knew Lynda to visit her memorial page, where they are invited to upload photos, share memories, and celebrate the life of this remarkable woman. Let us remember Lynda as she was, a woman of love and compassion, and let us strive to honor her memory by embodying the values she held dear. To celebrate Lynda's life a visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 6 to 8 in the evening. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Midlothian Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm at Gooseneck Cemetery in Graham, TX.
