Anthony J. Saster Jr.

Anthony J. Saster, Jr. 55, of Franklin died suddenly January 12 at his home. He was the husband of Julie E. (Leighton) Saster for the past 27 years. Born in Norwood, November 19, 1960, the son of the late Anthony and Marena (Kingman) Saster, Mr. Saster was a lifelong Franklin resident. He was a 1978 graduate of Franklin High School. Anthony had been mason for several area masonry companies. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Mary Saster and her fianc Nicholas Bailey of Franklin and Anthony J. Saster III of Franklin He was the father of the late Amy Saster. He is also survived by his sisters, Sandi Perez and her husband Jose of Franklin, Joyce Bardol and her husband William of Wrentham and Marena Papp of Elkton, Florida, and was the brother-in-law of the late Robert Papp. He is also survived by his grandson Nicholas J. Bailey, Jr. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 19 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Marys Church, Franklin at 10:00. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
