Francis Scinto Obituary

Francis J "Frankie" Scinto, age 51, of Torrington, died December 24, 2012 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital

Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Frank D and Theresa M Del Mastro Scinto

Originally from Newtown, Frankie was a 1981 graduate of Newtown High School before moving to Winter Springs, FL from 1985-2001 He did culinary work for the Danbury Marriott and the Fireside Inn, as well as other Newtown area restaurants

Frankie resided at Bridgeport Health for several years before moving to CSI of Torrington in 2008 He was a giftshop volunteer at the Lourdes of Litchfield Shrine

Frankie is survived by his beloved sister, Mary S Van Oyan of NY, and cherished nieces, Jessica, Cassie and Megan Van Oyan, all of NY He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Elinor and Harry Hill of Milford as well as several other aunts and cousins

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 10:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave, Ansonia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon, in the St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Rd, Newtown Interment will be in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield Family and friends may call on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia

Memorial contributions may be made to the Terence Cardinal Cooke Care Center, Huntington's Wing- Attn K Becker, 1249 Fith Ave, NY, NY 10029
