Douglas Nutter Obituary
22, 2025 at Atrium Medical Center where he had been a patient. He was born June 9th,
1957 in Summersville, West Virginia, and moved to Middletown, Ohio, in 1965. He earned
his Bachelor's Degree from Miami University in Oxford, and served in the US Marines
during the Vietnam War Era. Douglas owned and operated Nutter's Tree Trimming and
Landscape Service for over 20 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing,
and hunting. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and June Stover. He is
survived by two sisters, Pam Schafer (Don Cheeks) and Tammy Stover; one brother,
Charles "Chuck" Stover; three nephews, Lindsey (Catrina), Carl "CJ" and Steven; two
great nephews, Evan and Caleb; and many extended family and friends. Visitation will be
Monday, October 27th, 2025 from 3 pm to 4:30 pm at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210
S. Main St., Middletown, Ohio, followed by services at 4:30 pm with Dr. Dan Flory
officiating. Interment will be at the Simonson Chapel Cemetery, near Jacksonburg with
Military Honors by the Middletown Combined Honor Guard and the U. S. Marine Corps
Honor Guard.
