Peggy Hirschberg

1934 - 2025

Milton, WI - Peggy Hirschberg, 91 died December 10, 2025. She was born on March 16, 1934 to Leo and Beulah (Shepard) Larson in Omaha, NE.

Peggy Graduated from Fremont (NE) High School in 1952 and attended the University of Nebraska where she obtained her degree in physical education in 1956. She was the president of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority her senior year and then served as Greek-Letter and Alumnae Advisor for 25 years, receiving the Sorority Service Award.

Peggy moved to Milton in 1975 where she began as a substitute teacher for the Milton School District and then worked for General Motors in Janesville from 1986-1996. Peggy's interests were many and varied. She was a Milton Historical Society President and board member, 4-H leader, swim instructor, Quester, board member and volunteer at the Gathering Place, and sang with the "Blue Notes". She loved to collect antiques but was happiest when she was out working in her yard.

She is survived by her children, Eric and Kate, four grandchildren, Aidan, Gretchen, Rand, and Simra, and 3 1/2 great-grandchildren.

There will be a "Celebration of Life" gathering at The Gathering Place in Milton from Noon to 3pm on Sunday January 25, 2026. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in her name to the Milton Historical Society or the Gathering Place. The Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Milton is assisting the family with arrangements.
