Shirley A. Lornson

1934 - 2024

Janesville, WI - Shirley A. Lornson, a beacon of hope and faith, left this world peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024, with her beloved husband by her side. Born on June 22, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Shirley dedicated her life to serving others and spreading love. She married Clarence Lornson on February 27, 1954, and together they built a life filled with family, faith, and community. Shirley was an active member of the Saint William Catholic Church in Janesville and later the Saint Mary Catholic Church in Milton, where she shared her gift of music by playing organ and singing in the church choir. She also volunteered with ECHO in Janesville, helping families in need. Shirley's unwavering devotion to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was her greatest source of pride and joy. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.



Shirley is survived by her husband, Clarence Lornson of 70 years; her children: Michael (Teri) Lornson, David Lornson, Daniel (Jan) Lornson, Debra (Tom) Ronek, John (Yvonne) Lornson and Peggy (Bill) Sinyard; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Kreutz; two brothers and three sisters; and her grandson, Peter Ronek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH in Milton. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12th at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME; will continue on Saturday at Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
