Dennis Bruce Guymon of Burlington died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at his residence. He was only 67 years old.
The family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.
He was born June 26, 1958, in Keokuk to Ernest and Dorothy Guymon.
Dennis is survived by a son, William Todd (Amanda); three sisters, Linda Wilkerson (Rocki) of Aurora, Missouri, Wanda Howell (John) of Cameron, Illinois, and Karen Hayden (Roger) of Keokuk. A brother, Bennie Guymon of Enid, Oklahoma. Two very special aunts, Sharon Taylor and Luella Bailey of Hamilton, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Guymon and Dorothy Taylor; one sister, Diana Carroll; and three brothers, Rodney Guymon, David Guymon and Darrell Guymon, and an infant brother, Roger.
Dennis loved his two cats who he treated like his children. He loved working in his yard planting flowers. Dennis didn't know a stranger. He could walk into a room and strike up a conversation with anyone. No matter where he went, people knew him.
Dennis had a heart of gold. He would take his last dollar and buy you a gift if he knew you were coming over. He always called his family, checking up on them. And boy did he have a sense of humor. Even though he had some disabilities, nothing got him down. He was a true warrior. He'll be missed by many.
Side by side or miles apart, siblings will always be connected.
Family services will be scheduled at a future date.
