Gary Lake Obituary

Gary Paul Lake, 77, of Fort Madison, passed away at 3:58 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb.13, 2024, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison.
He was born on July 26, 1946, in Fort Madison, to Paul and Lela Bernhardt Lake. He married Rosemary A. Klesner on Aug. 29, 1970 in Fort Madison.
He retired from the Sheaffer Pen Company and was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Pastime Club. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing & mushroom hunting. He enjoyed his daily drives to check on the farmers' fields.
Gary is survived by his wife, Rosemary Lake of Fort Madison; one daughter, Paula (Chris) Azinger of West Point;  one son, Patrick (Karina) Lake of Omro, WI; four grandchildren, Brett, Kate and Leah Azinger and Rinn Lake; two brothers, John (Becky) Lake of Fort Madison, and Steve (Connie) Lake of Fort Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister in infancy.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Gary Beckman officiating. Burial will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Gethsemane Cemetery Association. Online condolences may be left at the King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory website: www.kinglynk.com.
