John Taylor Hull Jr., 79, of Burlington passed away peacefully on Aug. 26, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 10, 1946, to John Taylor Hull, Sr. and Bertha (Birkenstock) Hull. John attended Burlington Community High School and later proudly served his country in the Iowa National Guard from Jan. 1, 1964, through Dec. 31, 1970.
On September 23, 1969, John married the love of his life, Sandra (Jones) Hull. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories over their 55 years of marriage.
John worked as a dedicated U.S. postal carrier for 33 years, retiring on April 1, 2002. In his youth, his interest was driving the latest muscle car.
Throughout his life, he found joy in collecting sports memorabilia. Most of all, he treasured time spent with his family, who were the center of his world.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Sandra; his sons, John Taylor Hull III and Mark Allen Hull; his stepdaughter, Lisa Ann Granados (David); his grandchildren, Anna Dorsey (Josh) and Zachary Hull (Michaela); along with several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
