Larry Larson Obituary
He was born June 15, 1944 in Keokuk, the son of Wallace and Mary Young Larson. Larry graduated from Keokuk High School.
Larry owned and operated Larson Trucking for many years, until his retirement.
He was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church in Keokuk.
Larry was an avid stock car and drag racing enthusiast. He also had a great love for Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed nothing more than hitting the open road for a ride. His adventurous spirit and appreciation for speed and freedom were a big part of who he was, and he cherished the friendships and memories he made along the way.
He is survived by four sons, Chris Larson of Florida, Joe Larson of Keokuk, Chad Larson of Keokuk and Josh Larson of Keokuk, one daughter, Lyndy Larson of Hannibal, Mo., and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William Larson and one sister, Betty Stevens.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday at Buena Vista Cemetery in Keokuk with Pastor Dave Barrett officiating. A procession line will leave the funeral home at 9:45 a.m.
Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Methodist Church.
